Instructions to Reset the Service Light on the 2012 BMW X1

Model: BMW X1 E84 - Years 2009-2015

Start the procedure by inserting the key into the ignition and turning on the instrument cluster. On the center console, there is a button panel that allows you to complete the reset procedure: use it to enter the menu and rotate the central knob to scroll through the various options. Select the one that says "vehicle information" and then "vehicle status". In the new screen, select the third icon related to service. The procedure can also be performed on the instrument cluster display. After restarting the cluster, press and hold the button located in the bottom left corner until the yellow triangle disappears. Using the lever on the left side of the steering wheel, select the item you want to reset and then confirm by pressing the BC button.
