How to Reset the Oil Light on a BMW 5 Series E60

Model: BMW Serie 5 E61, E60 - Years 2003-2010

Follow these steps to manually reset the engine oil light on your BMW 5 Series E60 (2003-2010). First, enter the vehicle and locate the button just below the fuel gauge on the lower left side of the instrument cluster. At the same time, turn on the ignition. Once the new menu appears on the mini display, release the button and use it to navigate through the menu until you find the oil life remaining option. At this point, press and hold the button again and release it when prompted to confirm the reset. Press it one last time, and you are done.
