How to Reset the Service Light on the BMW X1

After performing the engine oil and filter replacement on this vehicle model, you need to reset and update the service light that is illuminated on the instrument cluster. Follow the complete procedure and the steps below to achieve this. Turn on your car without starting the engine. Insert the key and do not touch the pedals, then press the START button once. Press and hold the RESET button. Keep holding the RESET button until the service menu appears. Select ENGINE OIL. Once there, scroll to RESET to view the different items and find ENGINE OIL. Press and hold the RESET button. When you reach that point, keep your finger on the RESET button, and it will say Reset. Press the RESET button again to confirm, and you're done.
