How do you replace the timing chain of the BMW 3 Series?

To replace the timing belt of the BMW 3 Series, you need to open the hood so that you can loosen the screws that secure the valve cover on the top of the engine block. Additionally, you will also need to remove the air filter box to access the camshaft pulleys. By accessing the bottom of the engine block, you can unscrew the central nut of the crankshaft pulley, reducing the tension of the chain and allowing for its removal. At this point, you will need to insert the new chain into its housing and reassemble all the parts that were removed.
