Check Fuel Tank Vent Valve Operation

As you can easily understand, pressure tends to build up inside the fuel tank due to fuel evaporation. Therefore, it is necessary to install a vent valve that opens when a certain pressure value is reached, allowing the pressure to drop inside the tank. This valve is located in the engine compartment, at the front, near the throttle body. To assess its efficiency, disconnect the connector and measure the resistance value across the terminals of the valve using a multimeter. Set the multimeter to the 200 ohm scale; the correct value is around 190 ohms (if the measured valve indicates just under 30 ohms, it is out of calibration).
