Removal and Replacement of Cabin Air Filter

Model: BMW Serie 5 E39 - Years 1995-2003

Open the hood and locate the two compartments where the cabin air filters are positioned. One is on the left and one on the right, both near the windshield. Open the housing on the left by releasing the clip and remove the old filter. After cleaning the housing, insert the new filter in the same position and close the housing. Now open the housing on the right and perform the same steps. The vehicle on which this maintenance operation was performed, as shown in the images, is a BMW 5 Series.

Open the bonnet and secure it, then remove the inspection caps from the headlights (at the back of the headlights) using a screwdriver or pliers.
