How to Change the Fuel Filter on a BMW 320d E90

Model: BMW Serie 3 E92, E90, E91 - Years 2005-2013
Part: Diesel fuel filter

The fuel filter on this type of vehicle is inline and is not located in the engine compartment but just under the vehicle's floor, near the right rear wheel (passenger side); to replace it, it is recommended to lift the vehicle, locate the filter housing, remove the protective cover, disconnect the ground cable to protect against stray currents, and disconnect the two fuel inlet and outlet lines; then unscrew the clamp securing the filter, remove the old filter, and install the new one, orienting it according to the fuel flow direction indicated by the arrow printed on the filter itself.
