To perform the regular maintenance service, follow this simple guide; let's see how to replace the engine oil and oil filter on the BMW X3. First, lift the vehicle and start unscrewing the oil drain plug found on the oil pan, allowing it to drain into a container for about ten minutes; locate the oil filter in the engine compartment, using the appropriate wrench to loosen and remove it, as shown in the video.

At this point, replace the oil filter cartridge, reassemble everything; unscrew the fill cap and top off with new engine oil!
