If you own a BMW X5 E70 and want to manually reset the engine oil light yourself, simply follow the instructions in this guide step by step. First, get into the driver's seat and ensure the ignition is off. Next, locate the button on the left side of the instrument cluster and hold it down while you turn on the ignition.

Wait ten seconds, then release the button and press it again for another ten seconds to complete the oil light reset.
