In this tutorial we can see how to replace the crankshaft position sensor in the BMW 3 Series, a simple operation but one that requires good manual skills. To do this, we will need a long, swivel socket wrench, otherwise it will be necessary to remove the entire intake manifold. Let's start by making sure the engine is completely cold, then open the hood and remove both the transverse plastic cover and the filter box. Next, move the small tank located on the right side of the engine, disconnect the sensor connector and unscrew the single fixing bolt. At this point we can remove the sensor from the housing, insert the replacement and follow the reverse procedure.
