How to Replace the Crankshaft Position Sensor on a BMW 3 Series?

To replace the crankshaft position sensor on a BMW 3 Series, open the hood to access the engine bay and unscrew the bolts securing various components, such as the air filter box and the upper engine cover. The crankshaft position sensor is located on the right side of the engine block, and you will need to disconnect hoses and connectors that obstruct access. Once the old sensor is disconnected, replace it with a new part and reinstall all the other removed components.
