In this video, see how to repair the central locking actuators of a BMW 3 Series E90 that are not functioning. If the remote doesn't work, open the door with the key. Then, open the glove compartment and find the fuse box behind it. Connected to it is the legend that explains the meaning of each fuse, and locate the one for the central locking, identified by the door with the key above.

Check these fuses to see if any are blown, but from information gathered online, we know that the one most likely to blow is number 57. This vehicle comes with spare fuses and a tool to extract them, making the job much easier. Verify that fuse 57 is indeed damaged, replace it, but the functionality of the locks is still not fully restored.

You need to disconnect the negative terminal of the battery for about ten seconds to reset the circuit, and indeed, everything returns to normal afterward.
