How to Replace the Battery in a Chevrolet Silverado

This video explains the steps to replace the battery in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck. First, ensure the vehicle is off and open the hood using the lever located at the bottom on the driver's side. The battery is located on the left side of the engine bay, next to the engine itself. Unlike other vehicles, this one has a bracket that prevents the battery from being easily lifted out. Therefore, you will need to remove the bolts of this bracket to take it off; they are easily visible. Once the bracket is removed, you will need to remove the terminal bolts using a Torx screwdriver, starting with the negative terminal and then the positive (red) terminal.
