In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the crankshaft position sensor in the Chevrolet Silverado pickup, a very simple and quick operation. Before proceeding, ensure the engine is completely cool for safety.

Start by opening the hood, then disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. Move underneath the vehicle and remove the two bolts securing the starter motor.

Once done, slightly move the starter, locate the sensor in question, and disconnect the power connector. At this point, simply remove the single bolt, separate the sensor from the engine, and install the replacement part if necessary.
