If the battery warning light remains on on the instrument panel display even with the engine running, then it means that the alternator is not charging the battery; to be able to replace it with a new or reconditioned one, it is advisable to lift the car and operate from below, since the alternator is located in the lower part of the engine, on the passenger side, near the drive shaft; start by disconnecting the battery and then remove the auxiliary belt, disconnect the cables from the alternator itself and proceed with the disassembly of the fixing pins to the relative support bracket by extracting it from below; we will proceed backwards to install the new one.
