This short video tutorial shows the procedure to reset the oil light on the Chevrolet Captiva. The procedure is very simple and takes less than 1 minute to complete.

To reset the light, start the instrument cluster without starting the engine, then press the accelerator pedal fully 4 times. At the end of this procedure, the oil light will be reset and will turn off. For added safety, you can restart the instrument cluster at the end of the procedure to verify that the reset has occurred correctly and that the light is no longer present on the instrument panel.
