Instructions for Replacing the Wishbone Joint

At the ends of the wishbone arms of the suspension or the tie rods of the steering box, there are the so-called joints: these are ball joint assemblies that allow the suspension to provide maximum mobility; over time, the ball joint tends to wear out and become noisy, thus it needs to be replaced: to comfortably carry out the replacement, it is advisable to use a special clamp that allows the insertion of the ball joint pin into its seat; once the safety clip is removed and the fixing nut is unscrewed, the old joint can be extracted, possibly with a hammer blow, but the insertion of the new one should be done with the clamp to avoid jamming and damaging it.
