How to test the alternator of the Citroen Jumper?

In this video, we will see how to test the functionality of the alternator of a Citroen Jumper: it is not necessary to remove the component from the engine, it will be sufficient to disconnect the battery. We will need a multimeter; we see that the alternator is not blocked, which is a positive sign. We remove the 13mm nut that holds the cover and remove the positive connection cable; we remove the cover and take out the voltage regulator and check if there is voltage in the rotor: 2 to 3 Ohms is normal. We also need to check for continuity between the collector rings and the housing. Now we need to check the rectifier bridge, placing the negative probe on the positive terminal: this way we will check the diodes; the value should be between 4 and 5. We will do the same with the positive probe on the negative pole. Now we check the stator winding: we go to the sides, and the device should emit a signal. Finally, we check the voltage regulator; if it has a voltage lower than 12 then the problem is found.
