Citroen Ds - Video tutorial

Model: Citroen Ds - Years 1955-1975
Part: Tires
Operation: Rear tire replacement

The peculiarity of this car is that a jack is not necessary to lift it! Open the front hood and take out the spare wheel and the tools provided for changing the tire. In order to replace the rear tire, the rear fender must first be removed: using the key supplied, unscrew the fender fixing pin (located in the rear part of the fender itself, just above the light) and pull it backwards to remove it . Then release the chromed cup placed in the center of the rim covering the pins by levering with a screwdriver; loosen the wheel fixing nuts (without unscrewing them completely) before lifting the car. At this point, start the engine and operate the self-leveling lever that allows you to raise the suspensions (in fact, it is oil-pneumatic suspensions: on each wheel there is a steel ball filled half with oil and half with nitrogen and the two substances are separated from each other by a membrane) by adjusting them to the maximum height (there are actually 5 adjustment positions); apply the stand supplied to the center of the car and lower the suspensions by placing the car on the stand and lifting the wheels from the ground. Then proceed with the replacement of the tire using the rod supplied to center the wheel during assembly. Start the engine again to lift the car and remove the stand, complete the tightening of the nuts, reapply the chrome cup and refit the mudguard.

How do I unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series?

In order to unlock the automatic transmission of the BMW 3 Series, the Start / Stop button and the lever release button must be pressed at the same time. This procedure will allow the car gearbox to be unlocked for about 15 minutes, so that in the event of an engine failure, the car can still be moved. It may be necessary to repeat the operation more than once for its success. After unlocking the gearbox, it can return to its original state by simply waiting for the aforementioned 15 minutes, or by pushing the release lever forward for a few seconds.
