Where to Find the Crankshaft Position Sensor on a Citroen C4

Model: Citroen C4 MK 2 - Years 2010-2018

In this video, we can see where the crankshaft position sensor is located on a Citroen C4, for models with a 1.6 HDi engine. The sensor is located on the right side of the engine (when viewed from the front of the car) on the crankshaft casing (thus at the bottom) near the alternator pulley. More precisely, it is mounted on the lower part of the timing belt, pointing towards the toothed wheel of the crankshaft; it is often hidden by pipes and cables. To remove it, you may need to lift the car and remove the right front wheel arch liner: look for a component with a single 10 mm fixing bolt and an electrical connector. Disconnect the connector, unscrew the bolt, and consider cleaning it with contact spray before replacing it.
