How to replace the timing belt of the Citroen C4

Today we will explain how to independently replace the timing belt of the Citroen C4. To replace the belt on a 1.6 HDI engine, we need to open the front hood and lift the front of the vehicle, then remove the right front wheel along with the splash guard and the upper and lower covers of the timing belt. We remove the air duct and the air filter box. We lock the crankshaft and the timing to loosen the marks on the pulleys; we loosen the tensioner and dismantle the worn belt. We insert the timing belt and tighten the tensioner and the pulley, install the water pump, and unlock the crankshaft. We reassemble the air filter box and the duct to close the front hood.
