Start & Stop Not Working on a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso

Let’s address the issue of a Citroen C4 Grand Picasso where the Start & Stop system is not functioning correctly. On these vehicles, the Start & Stop is not activated by the starter motor, but by the alternator. If the tensioner for the belt does not apply sufficient pressure, the belt slips (you can hear a strange noise in the video), and consequently, the alternator fails to restart the vehicle, which must be manually restarted each time. The solution is to replace the auxiliary belt, which also drives the alternator, and the tensioner, which should always be replaced in these cases. This way, the problem is completely resolved.
