If the Citroen C5 shows a non-progressive power delivery, especially at low revs, and the engine malfunction light comes on, you can resolve these issues by cleaning the MAF sensor located near the air filter. Open the engine bonnet, locate the filter at the centre of the engine, disconnect the electrical connector from the sensor body, loosen the hose clip, and using a small spanner, unscrew the two screws that secure the mounting flange and remove the sensor.

Spray the inside with a cleaning spray, wait for it to dry completely, and refit it.
