How to check the levels on the Dacia Sandero 1.0

In this video we see how to check the engine oil on a Dacia Sandero 1.0 petrol. The YouTuber wisely suggests that the first maintenance of an engine consists in keeping it clean; this should actually apply to all engines of all cars. In this engine, the measuring dipstick is included in the oil filler cap: we proceed by pulling up the dipstick and cleaning it, then putting it back in place and checking it. Moving on, we visually check the battery; on the left we find the brake fluid reservoir, which should be above the halfway mark on the tank; we check with a clean tissue, that there are no leaks. On the opposite side we have the expansion tank of the cooling system. We also check here that the level is correct; only the windshield washer fluid is missing, which must be filled with the appropriate fluid and demineralized water (never tap water, which would damage the glass).

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open. Pull this lever towards you until you hear a "click" indicating the bonnet is released. Next, exit the cabin and stand in front of the bonnet to disengage the safety catch and complete the opening. To do this, slightly lift the bonnet, locate the yellow lever underneath, and pull it to the left to fully release and open the bonnet.
