How to Check Fluid Levels on a Dacia Sandero

Here's how to check the fluid levels on a Dacia Sandero: the engine must be off for at least 30 minutes. Open the bonnet and start by checking the engine oil: pull out the dipstick, wipe it clean, reinsert it, and check the level; if it's below the minimum, top up with oil of the same specification. Unscrew the cap and add oil gradually until the level is between "min" and "max". Check the semi-transparent coolant reservoir: this should also be between "min" and "max". If it's low, add some fluid of the same colour as that in the reservoir. If the brake fluid level is low, it indicates that the pads are worn. Add some fluid, but schedule a visit to the garage. The reservoir with the blue cap, next to the coolant reservoir, is for the windscreen washer fluid. Top up with suitable fluid (not tap water, which clogs pipes and leaves limescale on the windscreen). Close the bonnet. You're done.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
