How to Permanently Disable Start & Stop

The start & stop function is annoying for many drivers: here are three methods to disable it permanently. The simplest method is to locate the sensor, which is found on the negative terminal of the battery. Simply disconnect it and secure it to one side without damaging it. A warning light will remain on, but the system will no longer activate. In cars that have the sensor in the bonnet (usually French brands), locate the closure sensor inside the bonnet (usually near the front grille); disconnect the electrical plug; the system will think the bonnet is open and disable start & stop. Again, a warning light will appear on the dashboard. An advanced method involves using an OBD2 tool and specific software. Connect the tool to the EOBD port, turn on the ignition, access the ECU/Start&Stop menu, disable it; save the changes and restart the car. No warning lights will appear, but you must have the OBD2 tool and the software.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
