How to Disable the Start/Stop Function in a Dacia Sandero

Model: Dacia Sandero MK 3 - Years 2021-2026

On the Dacia Sandero 2024, the Start/Stop function can be disabled either temporarily or permanently. For the first procedure: with the engine running, locate the Start/Stop button on the central dashboard; pressing it will turn off the system, and the corresponding light on the instrument panel will illuminate, confirming the deactivation. The function remains inactive only for that engine start: upon the next restart, Start/Stop will reactivate automatically. For the second procedure, disconnect the dedicated module in the engine bay. With the engine off and the battery disconnected, locate the Start/Stop connector, usually near the battery or the throttle body, and disconnect it.
