If you are experiencing issues with the Dodge's transmission, it is likely that the transmission control module is the problem. It is very dangerous to drive under these conditions, so it is advisable to visit a workshop to have the issue fixed. However, if you want to try to resolve the issue yourself, you can attempt to reset the system by disconnecting the battery and allowing it to drain so that the processed data can be reloaded, or try resetting it by pressing the accelerator pedal with the engine off; press the pedal fully and then wait 5 minutes before trying again. The TCM should have reset.
