When it is time to change the engine oil on the Dodge Caravan, a message appears on the central display of the dashboard alerting you to the need for service. After completing the oil change, you must reset the control system.

Sit in the driver's seat, turn the key to the 'On' position, and press the accelerator pedal all the way down three times. Make sure to press the pedal firmly; check that the floor mat does not obstruct this operation.

If the message still appears upon the next restart, repeat the process.
