Dismantling and Replacing Water Pump

Model: Fiat Panda MK 1, 141 - Years 1980-2003

Start by removing the air box and the air hose by releasing the retaining clips. Next, dismantle the timing belt. Drain the radiator by operating the appropriate valve, then remove the four retaining bolts of the pump and extract it from its housing. Clean the pump housing thoroughly, replace the gasket, applying a suitable paste that is resistant to temperature and water between the gasket and the metal part. Refit the new pump and install the timing belt, ensuring the correct tension. The belt should have about one centimetre of flexibility. Refill the radiator with new coolant. Start the engine and check the water temperature.
