In this video we can see the position of the immobilizer control unit of the Fiat Punto MK1: the immobilizer is an electronic security system designed to prevent the vehicle from starting if the correct key is not used. In practice, it creates an electronic block on the engine, making it impossible to start, even if someone were to force open the vehicle.

On this vehicle, it works through a chip in the key, and a dedicated control unit; when the key is inserted into the ignition, the chip communicates with the control unit; if the code matches the one stored in the control unit, the engine can be started, otherwise the system blocks the start.

This control unit is located in the fuse box, in the lower part of the dashboard, on the left of the steering wheel, right at the top of this space.

It is a yellow box that contains an electronic board, where the chip we are interested in is the LR46A 651.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
