Location of the immobilizer control unit of a Fiat Punto MK1

In this video we can see the position of the immobilizer control unit of the Fiat Punto MK1: the immobilizer is an electronic security system designed to prevent the vehicle from starting if the correct key is not used. In practice, it creates an electronic block on the engine, making it impossible to start, even if someone were to force open the vehicle. On this vehicle, it works through a chip in the key, and a dedicated control unit; when the key is inserted into the ignition, the chip communicates with the control unit; if the code matches the one stored in the control unit, the engine can be started, otherwise the system blocks the start. This control unit is located in the fuse box, in the lower part of the dashboard, on the left of the steering wheel, right at the top of this space. It is a yellow box that contains an electronic board, where the chip we are interested in is the LR46A 651.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
