How to remove the fuel filter sensor cap on the Fiat Ducato

Let's see how to remove the cap of the fuel filter sensor on a Fiat Ducato 2.3. First, we need to locate the locking device: it is a yellow tab on the side of the connector. Lift the tab completely upwards, slide the gray part sideways, and gently pull the connector to remove it. This sensor on the fuel filter has two main functions: it detects water in the diesel, turning on a light on the dashboard when water is detected in the system, thus preventing serious damage to the injection system. It also monitors the status of the filter by detecting the differential pressure through the filter, and signals when it is necessary to replace the fuel filter.
