How to Remove the Fuel Pump on a Fiat Punto

Let’s see how to replace the fuel pump on a Fiat Punto. Lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod, then remove the engine soundproofing panel. Using a screwdriver, unscrew the locking pins of the ventilation pipe, remove the piece from the engine compartment, and secure the fuel access to the engine. Disconnect the battery cables, then remove the rear seat cushions of the car and unscrew the securing screws of the metal cap (if present) using a socket wrench, and remove it from its seat. Cover the perimeter with absorbent paper to catch any fluid leaks. Disconnect the power connectors and the liquid circulation hoses. Finally, extract the fuel pump from its seat.
