A possible solution to the Grancheck error on the Fiat Grande Punto.
Model: Fiat Punto
MK 3, 199, Grandepunto , Punto EVO
- Years 2005-2018
In this video, we see a possible solution to resolve the grandcheck error on the Fiat Grande Punto: this error is a generic message that appears on the instrument panel when the control unit detects a problem in the vehicle's electronic system. The possible causes can be multiple: issues with the battery or electrical system; problems with the probes or sensors; damage to the control unit or wiring; issues with the injection system. In the specific case of the video, the error occurs because the original car radio is missing: the CAN bus system expects to communicate with the factory radio, but if it has been replaced with a non-compatible aftermarket one, it generates an error. The YouTuber manually connects the CAN bus wires to the diagnostic connector under the steering wheel, making the control unit believe that the radio is present. It is a low-cost solution to install an original radio or a CAN adapter, which would be the best solution, although it certainly costs more (at least 50 euros).

Frequently Asked QuestionsInstallation of Upgraded Intercooler Radiator with Pipes
Lift the vehicle on suitable axle stands, remove the front wheels, and then the front bumper and grille. Proceed to remove the front headlights; drain the coolant, remove the intercooler radiator and the hoses connecting it to the intake system. Position the new intercooler radiator in the grille, temporarily securing it with cable ties, and mark with a marker the part of the metal that needs to be removed to allow the new hoses to pass through. Cut the marked portion of metal and apply a gasket to the edge. Remove the inner cover of the bumper and position it near the radiator to identify any interfering parts to eliminate: again, apply a gasket to the edge of the cut. Create brackets for securing the new radiator and proceed with the installation of the connecting pipes from the radiator to the intake, shaping and connecting them appropriately. Finally, reassemble the bumper, headlights, and grille. by ScegliAuto More videos
