How do you remove the handle from a Fiat 500? To access the handle, you need to remove the door panel. Unscrew the securing screws in the fixed handle on the door panel, unscrew the pins located in the plastic of the door opening lever. Remove the handle from the door panel, then use a lever to detach the covering panel. Remove the adhesive cover from above the door, disconnect the opening lever cable, then unscrew the securing pins of the outer handle. Pull the handle out from inside the car door. Fit the new handle and screw in the screws.
