How to Replace the Front Door Handle on a Fiat 500

To remove the door handle on a Fiat 500, first prepare all necessary materials for the job: a TORX key, screwdriver, and a hard plastic lever to easily remove the panel. For safety, disconnect the battery terminals located in the engine bay. Use a small screwdriver to remove all covers on the panel; take out the two screws on the handle, start pulling from the bottom and release the push pins; now remove the piece around the handle, being careful as the plastic is delicate; you can now remove the third screw that is visible; disconnect the internal handle cable and use a lever to detach the trim panel, then the adhesive panel of the door, taking care not to break it; you may use a craft knife to assist. Unscrew the screw on the outer side of the door, then the nut of the handle pin located internally; also disconnect the cable that allows the handle to open. Ensure that the replacement handle is the correct one. Fit the new handle and reconnect the rod. Reassemble all parts in reverse order of disassembly.
