How to Install a LED Cigarette Lighter Socket on a Fiat 126

Installing the cigarette lighter on the Fiat 126 is simpler than you think, as the placement is easy; just put it in place of the wiper switch (that can be relocated elsewhere). You can find the cigarette lighter socket at any car parts shop for under £5. You will also need some spade connectors, heat shrink tubing, and electrical wire. If you have basic electrical skills, it will be easy to connect the spade connectors to the wires and solder them, then cover with heat shrink tubing. The most complicated part is preparing the plexiglass housing to fit the cigarette lighter, which should be slightly smaller than the existing hole. Then connect the electrical part and attach the spade connectors to the lighter. Run the wires through to the engine bay, connecting the positive with an inline fuse to the battery terminal, and the negative directly to the battery terminal. It works!
