Operation: How to mount an LED cigarette lighter socket on a Fiat 126

Fitting the cigarette lighter on the Fiat 126 is simpler than you think, because positioning is easy, just put it in place of the headlight washer pump (we put that elsewhere). The cigarette lighter socket can be found at any auto parts store and does not cost 5 euros. We will also need some fastons, a heat shrink tubing and some electric wire. If you have a minimum of electrical practice, it will be easy for you to join the fastons with the electric cables and do the soldering with tin and then with the heat-shrinking sheath. The most complicated thing is to prepare the plexiglass seat which will allow us to place the cigarette lighter, slightly smaller than the existing hole. We then connect the electrical part and connect the fastons to the cigarette lighter. We pass the wires from the side of the hood, and the positive we connect with a flying fuse to the battery terminal, while the negative direct to the battery terminal. Works!

First remove the plastic profile at the base of the gear lever. To do this, slightly widen the side edges and carefully lift it to release it. There is no need to remove it completely, just move it forward to avoid bother. Now remove the plastic center console around the handbrake by first working from the rear to release it and lifting it until the brake lever passes.
