Replacing the diesel filter in a Fiat 500, as shown in this tutorial, is an extremely simple and quick task. First, wait for the engine to cool down sufficiently, then open the bonnet and locate the filter, which is situated at the rear right of the compartment. Disconnect both the connector and the upper hose, loosen the bleed valve using a screwdriver, and unscrew the large securing nut. At this point, you can remove the old filter, insert the replacement along with a new gasket, and follow the reverse procedure.
