How to Remove the Alternator from a Fiat Multipla 1900 MultiJet

To remove the alternator, it is advisable to pull it out from below, passing it behind the oil sump. Start by loosening the auxiliary belt tensioner from the engine bay to free the alternator pulley. Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery and remove the cables connected to the alternator. Then access from the wheel arch to unscrew the alternator mounting bolts. Loosen the engine cradle bolts to lower it slightly, providing more space to manoeuvre for the removal of the alternator.
