How to Fix the Door Lock of a Fiat Punto

Model: Fiat Punto MK 3, Punto EVO, 199, Grandepunto - Years 2005-2018

In this case, the central locking mechanism has failed, and to fix it, replace the lock on the driver's side. First, remove the door panel on the driver's side. To do this, unscrew seven screws (one near the opening lever, four at the bottom, and two at the sides of the handle), remove the electric window switches by prying with a screwdriver, disconnect the electrical supply, and finally, unlock the clips at the bottom and sides of the panel. At this point, remove the lock by unscrewing the screws located in the door's strike plate, and disconnect the various cables (electrical and mechanical for opening). Finally, replace the lock with a new one and reassemble everything. The maintenance operation shown in the images is performed on a Fiat Punto.
