In this video, we see how a Fiat 500 1.3 MultiJet had a significant problem, misfiring and emitting white smoke even though there were no error codes in the ECU. The issue was a completely blocked intake manifold, clogged with soot from the exhaust, as well as the EGR valve, which could no longer function, causing further blockages.

The YouTuber also shows the absolute pressure sensor, with the central hole completely blocked.

Therefore, the air necessary for perfect combustion does not reach the engine, and the sensor is entirely clogged, sending false data to the ECU. Consequently, there will be excessive fuel consumption, so it is advisable to periodically clean the intake manifolds.
