In this tutorial, see how to clean the EGR valve on the Ford Focus, a very simple operation to perform, for example, if the engine performance is no longer optimal. First, wait for the engine to cool down, then open the bonnet and remove the plastic cover.

Next, move the various wiring indicated, unscrew the two fixing bolts with a Torx T30 key and disconnect the sensor connector. At this point, you can remove the valve from the support, clean it using one of the appropriate solvents, and refit it by following the reverse procedure.
