To replace the timing chain installed on the Ford S-Max, you need to open the hood and loosen the screws that secure the front right wheel: once the corresponding wheel arch is also removed, you can locate the chain tensioner that needs to be removed from its seat in order to reduce the tension of the chain.

At this point, you can insert the new replacement part: once it has been tensioned, you can reassemble the components that were just removed to ensure that everything is functioning correctly.
