How to Remove and Replace the Timing Belt on a Ford Focus

Prepare to remove and replace the timing belt on a Ford Focus: lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner). Once these steps are completed, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Use a spanner to loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off. Use a socket to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt, then remove the water pump as shown in the video. Install the new water pump (previously removed), the tensioner, and the belt, tightening everything with the socket. Finally, reinstall the rivets along with the wheel arch liner and remount the wheel with the tyre on the vehicle.
