Cleaning the MAF sensor of the Ford Transit MK8

If we notice anomalies in the power delivery of the Ford Transit engine and difficulties in cold starting, the cause may be dirt that has accumulated on the MAF sensor. To proceed with its cleaning, we open the hood of the engine compartment. We will find the sensor on the pipe coming out of the air filter, behind the windshield washer fluid cap. We disconnect the connector by pressing the red tab, then we unscrew the two screws holding it with a T20 torx key and remove it. We spray a specific cleaning spray on it, wait a few minutes for it to dry, and then reassemble it by tightening it with the screws and reconnecting the connector.
