How to Change the Timing Belt on a Ford Focus

Learn how to remove and replace the timing belt on a Ford Focus: Lift the car on a column lift or jack (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to detach the right wheel arch liner). Once these operations are complete, lift the bonnet, remove the engine soundproofing panel and the timing belt cover. Using a suitable spanner, loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt off its seat. Use a socket to unscrew the tensioner pulley bolt and remove the water pump as shown in the video. Fit the new water pump (previously removed), the tensioner, and the belt itself, tightening everything with the socket. Finally, reassemble the removed parts and the wheel.
