How do you replace the fuel filter in a Ford Transit 2.2 TDCI?

Changing the fuel filter on a Ford Transit 2.2 TDCI is not complicated, but it requires a bit of patience and attention. First, disconnect the battery for safety, then locate the filter: it is usually located near the front passenger side wheel or under the hood. Loosen the clamps and disconnect the diesel pipes, being careful of any splashes. Unscrew the old filter and install a new one, making sure it is securely tightened and the gaskets are in place. Reconnect everything, repressurize the system by pumping the primer if necessary, or start the engine and let it run for a few minutes. If it starts on the first try, you're good to go. Always watch out for any leaks. If you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself, contact an experienced mechanic.
