How to replace the engine oil filter on a Ford Fiesta? Follow these steps for the replacement: lift the car on a column lift and unscrew the plug of the oil sump, allowing the oil to drain into a container (tighten the plug after draining). Lower the car back to the ground, then open the car door and pull up the engine compartment release lever located at the bottom left of the dashboard and lift the front bonnet, securing it. Remove the cap on the engine head, open the engine head cap and top up with the new oil.
