How to Replace the Fuel Pump on a Ford Fiesta

You need to replace the fuel pump if it no longer works. Here’s how to remove it. Open the rear hatch, remove the rear seats, and unscrew the securing screws of the cap that covers the access to the tank (use a socket). Remove the metal cap and locate the fuel pump. Unscrew the plastic nut that secures the fuel pump, disconnect the fuel lines and clamps. Extract the pump from inside the tank. Install the new pump, connect the clamps and lines, and tighten with the nut. Close the metal panel with the cap.
