- Years 1996-2002 In this guide, we will see the main instructions on how to disassemble and replace the fuel pump of the Ford Fiesta, as well as the Ka and Mondeo. First, we access the top part of the tank to locate the fuel pump. Then, we disconnect the gasoline supply line using two pliers, as shown in the video. At this point, we unscrew the screws or the ring of the pump to remove it, disconnecting the electrical connector of the fuel level sensor. Then, we replace the pump or the float with the new one, using the original replacement part!
